Join the Reference Services Interest Group for our summer meeting as we explore measures to assess our own instructional effectiveness. Topics for discussion will include methods of gathering feedback on our instruction as well as principles of self-observation and assessment. Participants of the 2009-2010 pilot Shadow Program will share their experiences about what they learned by observing another in the classroom and by being observed themselves.
There will be plenty of time provided for discussion of the day’s topic and to gather suggestions for upcoming programs. There will also be a preview of sessions already in the works for the 2010-2011 academic year!
Come with an appetite for information and for snacks- a light lunch will be provided!
